Jim Carey inhabits our old pal Ebenezer Scrooge’s skin and as such is in fine form barking orders at all and sundry, including his nephew Fred (Colin Firth) but as we all know he receives a bunch of visitors in the night- three ghosts E.G. past present & future who present him with the truth as they see it. I’m assuming most of you will have either read or seen previous versions of this classic story. How well I remember going with my dad to see the old black & white version with the late great Alastair Sim in the Scrooge role. It’s coming out early, but I’m sure it will linger for Christmas. A family treat I’d say.  Bah humbug!!! Now go and see it.
