It’s always a thrill to write about a local boy that has made it. Ben Wishaw who hails from the Queen Mother youth theatre in Hitchin is that person.
In this romantic drama he plays the young poet John Keats who begins a relationship with his Hampstead neighbour Fanny Brown (Abbie Cornish) like all great romances there are problems; she can earn money from her fashion ideas being a talented & bright forward looking seamstress. Whilst Keats is a poor though talented poet. Never mind love will overcome all, but will it? Friends and relations frown as they pursue their amore. However over the next cloud there is little respite as ill health and problems lurk for Keats. Set against an idyllic English backdrop. The bluebell woods alone are worth a look. This is a treat for all of you literary and romantic fans out there. |
