I’m sure some of you like me would have been waiting to hear this for a while. Is it worth the wait? Yes, really worth it… Its starts with a nice little piano sound then comes the shuffle beat of the drums then Clarke’s powerful vocals, then laid over the top of all this is his heavy guitar sound.
This lies close to a Primal Scream (Screamadelica) vibe… Really strong chorus … Then that powerful Rowetta’ish sounding vocal towards the end. It’s quite different than what they’ve done before, but thankfully it’s worked. 4 stars |
