This is a very brave cover version of Leonard Cohen’s the future. The singer has got that same vocal sound as the La’s /The Coral. Really great sounding band and made this song sound very fresh.
I first saw this band on jools holland with the track ’That’s not my name’ And was hooked. The album starts with Great DJ which you just need to turn up and jump around to.
Ok where do I start with this. It’s been a long wait. Was it worth it ???? Yes in places. It’s got that mad dance free beat vibe to it. Her voice just sends shivers down to the soul (Deep Water).
