In case you haven’t noticed? Bond is back! Gun’s-explosions-car-chases galore-action-adventure. What else would you want? Oh yes the ladies! Naturally we have M (Judi Dench) who is all-powerful and a young lady who has escaped from “Tess of the D’Urbervilles” the Eastern European beauty Olga Kurylenko who is enough to drive our hero wild.
So back to Bond basics. This latest outing picks up where “Casino Royal” left off. Rumour has it an hour later Bond is determined to locate the organisation that caused the only women he really loved namely “Vesper” to betray him in the prequel to this story. He fights the inner turmoil to make it personal & M has to haul him in. Together they interrogate Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) who reveals the name of the group. Is it as simple as that? No no no! Were talking James Bond here.Events take a global turn and 007 treks off to Italy, Austria and South America on a very dangerous mission to reveal all. Trouble is both MI6 and the C.I.A are working against him. Want to know why? Got to see it & find out! Daniel Craig as 007 gives his 21’ century Bond the edge you’d expect and a good time is had by all. Finally, 4 stars (**** Very Good) |
